Regional content and regional page

In Job Market Finland, it is possible to compile regional pages with topical content, services, jobs, and theme pages. A regional page is compiled for a certain area; the selection criterion is the municipality.

The vacancies and services available in the area are automatically collected on the regional page based on tags. In addition, it is possible to display topical content on the regional page or create a theme page, but it requires a separate agreement with the online editorial staff of Job Market Finland. This arrangement requires a designated party to be responsible for coordinating the content and maintenance for the area, and they also act as liaison with Job Market Finland.

Materials for topical content and theme page content as well as other enquiries can be sent to the Job Market Finland online editorial staff at tedigi@verkkopalvelut.zendesk.com.

Topical content

The topical content on regional pages may be current news, events, blog posts or videos about regional industry and business. The content has to be related to business and employment and match the information needs of Job Market users. The topical content may not include commercial marketing by organisations.

Regional operators are responsible for ensuring that each piece of content is in a format that is fit for publication. The content is delivered to Job Market Finland in a manner that is agreed upon separately with the liaison. (For example, by e-mail to Job Market's online editorial staff or directly to the content management system.)

The online editorial staff is responsible for monitoring the content, evaluating it and, if necessary, requesting changes.

Service descriptions

A good service description is concise and explains the key aspects of the service: what the service offers to the customer, what conditions it has, and what to do. Since service descriptions are produced by many different organisations, using neutral and clear language helps the reader. Service descriptions are not marketing communications; their primary objective is to help the reader recognise and select the services that are suitable for them. The service is described verbally, and the description should include tags and a link to the service.

The organisation responsible for the service describes their service according to Job Market Finland's information model. The classification of services is based on the Classification of public services.

The services are displayed in connection with Job Market's national information content and on the regional pages for each area. Services are also discoverable with the search function.

Theme pages

Theme pages can be used to highlight important themes in an area, such as industries, specific employment or training projects, service packages by cooperation networks, etc. The scope of the theme pages and the required functionalities are planned together with the online editorial staff of Job Market Finland. The theme pages follow Job Market’s general solutions and use Job Market’s content elements. Regional operators are responsible for the content of the theme pages and deliver them directly to the Job Market Finland online editorial staff in a format that is fit for publication.

Images

Content providers can include images on the area page and theme pages. In this case, the regional operators are responsible for the user rights of the images and deliver the images in the required format to the Job Market Finland online editorial staff. If the provider does not deliver any images, the online editorial staff uses free stock images.
