Unemployment security

Unemployment security or as some call it, unemployment benefit, compensates for financial losses caused by unemployment.

Register as an unemployed jobseeker in order to receive unemployment benefits. After registration, if you apply for an unemployment benefit, you will be issued a labour policy statement on your eligibility for the benefit or a request for further information.

Apply for unemployment security

Find out if your benefits are to be paid by your unemployment fund or Kela. Different forms of unemployment benefits are earnings-related unemployment allowance, basic allowance or labour market subsidy.
