New report from the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health provides information and tips on maintaining work ability for those who work multiple jobs

A survey conducted by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health in the trade and the tourism and hospitality sectors shows that assessing the load and supporting the ability to work are challenging tasks for people holding multiple jobs.

There are many different reasons for holding multiple jobs. For example, there may be a lack of full-time work, a desire for variation, changes in life situations, or an attempt to have flexible working time.
 
A survey by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health showed that the majority of respondents would prefer to do only one job. The interviewees felt that work ability was burdened by, for example, the difficulties of recovering from work, concerns about livelihood, and the managing changing jobs. Support in the workplace varies and it is often the employee who is responsible for maintaining working capacity.
 
A recent report by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health presents the good practices that have emerged in the interviews to support the work capacity of those working several jobs simultaneously and how to take care of occupational safety in the workplace.
