New At Job Market Finland: Sinuna authentication has been deactivated and replaced by a new email login option

News

Sinuna authentication, intended for skilled workers seeking to work in Finland, has been discontinued and replaced by a new method of email login. Users’ old job applicant profile information remains intact.

Logging in to Job Market Finland is done mainly by using the national Suomi.fi identification. If the user does not have access to the use Suomi.fi e-identification or eIDAS identification, logging in to the service has previously been available with the Sinuna authentication service. This has particularly applied to experts who actively seek to work in Finland.

The Sinuna service has now been discontinued and replaced by a new method of email login. The change will be visible to you when you go to log in to Job Market Finland and must choose between Suomi.fi identification and alternative email identification. If you use the same email address in connection with the new identification method as you have used with Sinuna authentication, your job applicant profile information will remain unchanged.

The new email login method is subject to the same restrictions as Sinuna. With email login, skilled people aspiring to work in Finland from abroad can therefore create a job applicant profile and take advantage of Job Market Finland’s artificial intelligence-based matching functionality to find jobs. However, these users cannot handle official matters, use employer services, or create job postings for household jobs. The alternative email login at Job Market Finland is intended only for those who do not have the possibility to identify themselves through Suomi.fi or eIDAS identification.
