The content of Job Market Finland has expanded again, as the first theme page of the website has been published. In the future, Job Market Finland will be able to publish various theme pages, both regional and national, containing information on projects, campaigns and services related to employment.

The first area to publish its own theme page is North Ostrobothnia. The “Vain parhaita puolia” (only the best parts) campaign encourages people to apply to work in the care, industry and technology sectors in North Ostrobothnia. The theme page contains information on the sectors, vacancies and residential municipalities as well as authentic stories about the people in the area and a video presenting the area.

“The theme page serves as the landing page of the “Vain parhaita puolia” recruitment campaign, i.e. the campaign traffic is directed to the website. We hope to present the best aspects of North Ostrobothnia through the website – both in leisure and working life,” says Marjo Pak, Head of Communications at the TE Office for North Ostrobothnia.

The theme pages can contain campaign content as text, images and videos.

“It is important that the content on the theme pages can be tailored to the campaign’s look and presented with high quality in different forms. The functionality of the site is of great importance because if the site is not functionable or easy to use, it does not convey a good impression of our region, its actors or jobs,” Pak says.

The TE Office for North Ostrobothnia is a partner of BusinessOulu, which has coordinated the campaign and joint activities. The cooperation involves Oulu, Kempele, Kalajoki, Raahe region, Haapavesi-Siikalatva, the Council of Oulu Region, the North Ostrobothnia TE Office and ELY Centre, the Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District and several companies in the region. Today, communication, campaigns and events are increasingly being organised and produced in cooperation between several actors. Job Market Finland’s theme page is a neutral and free publication platform for such jointly produced content.

“It would be good to take different needs into account when determining requirements in the development phase so that the theme pages will be suitable for the diverse purposes of different actors in the future,” Pak hopes.

Certain content can be automatically imported to the theme page, such as vacancies, which Pak considers very important in recruitment campaigns of this kind.

“The website also contains other content related to employment, so the user can continue browsing the theme by learning about other services or by creating a job search profile in Job Market Finland!”
